Decorating With Plastic Chairs

They are durable, stackable, and inexpensive. They are plastic chairs. Even though you can find them on the cheap and often get free ones from other peoples cast offs, plastic chairs were once thought of as a designer item.
In fact designers call the one piece plastic chairs the monobloc chair. Folklore has it that the first all plastic chair was designed in 1965 by an Italian designer named Joe Colombo. Then in 1967 the first one piece plastic chair was designed by Vico Magistretti.
It took a lot of engineering and design skills to develop these first chairs. But by the 1980's they were being mass produced. Today they are mass produced in many countries and the prices have dropped considerably.
You can find these chairs in many styles, and colors. Only to be rivaled by the different uses that we find for these chairs. The ubiquitous white plastic chair can be seen on many porches and back yards and patios.
You will often see a stack of them in someone's garage just waiting to be used when extra seating is required. But that doesn't mean these chairs are only for front porches and extra seating. They can be used to create many stylish seating areas.
If you have children's plastic chairs they can be arranged around a work table in a child's play room. Which can be used for arts and crafts, reading, studying, or just a play area where having seats and a table are useful.
If you have an extra sitting room such as a sunroom you can use these inexpensive chairs to design seating areas and places to read near the window. You don't have to settle for drab white either. You can find beautiful resin chairs in all colors of the rainbow.
They can also be used to create different seating areas in your yard and garden. I use brightly colored resin chairs to form a conversation area, in the part of my garden, where my bird feeders are located. It's very calming to sit back with a good friend and have a warm conversation while birds are frolicking in the background.
If you have an open area in your home or a modern apartment these can be the perfect accessory for desks and work areas. Don't let the availability and inexpensive price fool you. Plastic chairs are a modern marvel and can be used in creative ways to meet all of your design needs.
Plastic Chairs Comfortable And Versatile
We’ve all sat on hard, uncomfortable plastic chairs, and we’ve all had the backaches to prove it. Fortunately, today it is possible to sit in a plastic chair that’s both attractive and comfortable.
Manufacturers have learned that consumers are no longer satisfied with plastic folding chairs that are either rock-hard, too wobbly or ugly. Consumers today want their plastic chairs, whether indoor or outdoor plastic chairs, to be as comfortable as their inside furniture.
This makes sense. Homeowners today value entertaining. They host backyard barbecues, poker nights and family gatherings more frequently. And when they hold these celebrations, they don’t want their friends or family members to have sit in plastic chairs that give everyone a sore back by the time the party winds down.
When shopping for new plastic chairs, then, homeowners should look for certain features:
First, homeowners should search for plastic folding chairs that are attractive. There’s no reason even outdoor plastic chairs have to come only in shades of grey or green. Today’s designers manufacture plastic chairs in every shade of the rainbow.
Next, you want a plastic chair that has earned rave reviews from users for its comfort. This is important: Even the most colorful, handsome plastic chair won’t be appreciated by your guests if they make them feel like they’ve been sitting on a rock for three hours.
Price may be a consideration, too. There’s good news here, too. Today’s plastic folding chairs are offered at a wide variety of price points. Homeowners should have no trouble finding a plastic chair that fits not only their decks or basements, but their budget, too.
Next time you’re in the market for new plastic chairs, don’t settle for boring and uncomfortable. Do some research and instead surprise the guests at your next house party with plastic chairs that are fun, bold and, above all, really nice to sit in.
Plastic Chairs The Portable Long Lasting Solution
Plastic Chairs can be a portable long lasting solution. I have some very nice chairs from Restoration Hardware in my back patio, but I wanted some chairs for my front porch. Maybe I'm just being paranoid but I have seen things stolen from the front. I didn't want to worry about losing my expensive chairs and I found affordable plastic chairs to be the perfect solution.
These chairs I purchased were inexpensive, portable, and they look nice, and are comfortable. They are also still there so maybe my paranoia was unfounded. Never the less plastic chairs can be a quick solution for instant seating needs. They are stackable and easy to store and you can leave them out in the elements, no mildew or rust. After time the plastic can fade in the sun, but most people don't have their sitting area in the direct sunlight.
Another great plastic chair choice is the plastic Adirondack chairs, these look great and don't fade like the wooden ones. They are also super comfortable. The thing that makes Adirondack chairs so distinctive is the foot stool. Which when added to the chair it makes it seem more like a lounger. I could enjoy one of these with a cold drink and a good book for a wonderful lazy afternoon. Another great option is the plastic lounge chair.
I like to keep a nice selection of plastic stackable chairs in my garage in case I have several guests and an impromptu BBQ. If the stacking chair is not quite the look you are going for you can also find a nice selection of plastic patio chairs to choose from. Another great bargain is the plastic children's chairs. Kids love having their very own seating area with chairs just their size. Also with the wide selection available today, it's easy to find a children's chair that is exactly like the adult chairs.
